You Asked For It - the complete list of restaurants on and around SGI

We’ve heard a lot of people asking about how they can support the local businesses around St. George Island as we deal with national COVID-19 crisis. For an area that is so dependent on tourism, a complete shutdown of vacation rentals on St. George Island could devastate the economy if this extends for very long. In this blog, we want to provide a list of local restaurants that are offering takeout or delivery. We will try to make it as exhaustive as possible. We are starting with restaurants on St. George Island because we expect those restaurants are most dependent on vacation rental dollars. For each of the restaurants below, just click on the name to go directly to their website.

BJ’s Pizza – Takeout Only (Open 11:00-9:00)

BJ’s our go-to casual restaurant on SGI. They have great pizza and sandwiches and no St. George Island beach vacation is ever complete without a trip to BJ’s. Check out our BJ’s blog here.

Arguably the most famous and recognizable restaurant on St. George Island, the Blue Parrot has been serving seafood with great beach views for decades. To check out our blog on the Blue Parrot, click here.

Another "fine dining option is The Franklin which is located inside the Gibson Inn. There is so much history behind this restaurant and hotel. Check out our blog to learn more about its history.

While most of our blog readers are those that stay in vacation rentals, we hope that the locals are able to support these local restaurants until vacationers can return to the island. We’ll continue to update this list as new information becomes available.
